Dezeen’s Designed in Hackney Day

If you’re into design and architecture, you may have heard of a little website called Dezeen. Despite the global scale of their website, yesterday they produced a very special, localised series of talks and showcases celebrating the designers and architects of the borough of Dezeen’s own headquarters – Hackney. I thoroughly enjoyed the presentations (especially the fast-paced Pecha Kucha), and even though I’m not a designer I was still very inspired by the day. Top speaker for me was Luke from PearsonLloyd, whose wonderful 6 minute talk about motivation really gave this graduate heart about entering the working world.

Here are some snaps I got of some of the products on display and for sale. Do check out their links, and please forgive my photography skills.
